Where It Began.
Pommello began in 2013, when founder Calvin Ng had a health scare that nearly took his life.
This motivated Calvin to take an active role in managing his condition. As he researched, he learned that movement and heat together are directly linked to stimulation of the lymphatic system—the body’s natural sanitation system. This knowledge, combined with Calvin’s professional expertise as a clothing manufacturer, led him to develop the patent-pending Heat Reflect technology for the first Pommello gear prototype.
Calvin used the gear in different fitness settings and noticed an unintended result—his muscles never got sore. When he wore Heat Reflect and began lifting weights, his muscles felt invigorated by the heat. He shared his discovery with friends and professional athletes, and all agreed that the Heat Reflect fabric accelerated their warm ups, gave them a more efficient, more intense workout, and helped them feel better afterwards, with quicker recovery and less muscle soreness than they were used to. This was no longer a fluke of training apparel, this was a recovery tool that you wear.
